Rubbish, Recycling & Yard Waste
Sheffield Village prides itself on maintaining a clean and green community with the help of Republic Services.
- Blue carts = regular garbage
- Green carts = loose, bulk recyclables.
- Carts should be placed within 3 feet of the curb, with arrows facing the street, at least 3 feet apart.
- Bulk items are picked up each week with regular garbage removal.
- All grass clippings and other yard waste should be placed in brown paper yard waste bags and placed next to the recycling cart.
- Brush and small tree trimmings must be cut, bundled, and securely tied. They cannot exceed 4 feet in length or 40 pounds in weight, and they must be placed next to the recycling cart.
Holiday Pick-up
Cart containers must be placed by the curb by 6 a.m. on trash collection day. When a holiday falls on or before your regular pickup day, your pickup will be the next business day. Holidays that affect collection are:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

Branch Clippings
Large branches are chipped periodically from April to October. They must be placed in an orderly manner near the curb.
