Responsibilities
The Finance Department is responsible for the proper recording of all financial transactions for the village including, but not limited to:
- Financial reporting of all revenues and expenditures
- Deposit of all monies collected and posting to financial software program
- Payroll and benefits administration
- Authorization of all village purchasing functions
- Annual budget preparation
- Income tax administration
The Sheffield Village financial statements and internal controls are audited bi-annually in accordance with state law.

Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) Documents
The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) mailed non-filer letters to taxpayers that neglected to file a municipal income tax return. Taxpayers can simply send RITA the documents listed on the non-filing letter.
