The KNOX-BOX® Rapid Entry System is a small wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for the Sheffield Village Fire Department to retrieve in emergency situations after normal working hours. The Sheffield Village Fire Department secures a master key to the KNOX-BOX®, which provides our department non-destructive emergency access as a means of rapid entry to the property. This decreases the potential property damage and fire losses for building owners since firefighters can rapidly enter buildings without breaking doors or windows.

As part of our fire prevention initiative and per the Ohio Fire Code (OFC 506.1) the Sheffield Village Fire department requires a KNOX-BOX® Rapid Entry System for all businesses and commercial properties. Knox Boxes may be ordered by clicking the link below.
