Fire Supression

Sheffield Village Fire Suppression Services

Call 911 for emergency fire assistance, 24 hours a day

The Sheffield Village Fire Department is responsible for extinguishing non-friendly fires.

Our ability to immediately respond to a fire helps to keep these fires small in nature.

We respond with a variety of equipment and personnel that are equipped and trained to bring all of the different types of fires that would be experienced in the Village of Sheffield under control.

Our fleet of Fire Apparatus is equipped with copious amounts of water, as well as other means of suppression including different types of foam, extinguishers, and many other fire suppression materials.

The department utilizes a combination of modern equipment and well-trained firefighters to detect and extinguish fires quickly.  Modern detection equipment in both commercial and residential structures is important to successful fire suppression.   Sheffield Village has agreements with other fire departments in the area to provide assistance to each other with large scale fires.

The training required to become a certified firefighter in Ohio encompasses 360 hours of classroom work as well as practical training.  Once certified, that firefighter is required to obtain continuing education to maintain their State of Ohio firefighter II certification.

Feel free to stop by the Sheffield Village Fire Department to view and learn more about our suppression methods or give us a call and a trained employee can give you an answer to assist you in finding one.
